Often we fill our lives with people who we think will be good to us and treat us like we are special. We try to hang on to people that we think will complete us and make us happy. We depend on people for everything from love to paying the rent. People come and go; they live with us, they leave us, they hurt us, they use us, they trade up, they trade down, they lie to us, they cheat on us, they bullshit us, but, none of that matters. You are probably asking how can I say that. I can say that because I have a relationship with the only one who really matters and whose opinion of me is the only one that matters and who is the only one who can make me feel complete. Moms On The Web wants you to know that you can have a relationship with someone who is always on your side and who will cause things to work out for your best interest.
We love our spouse, our significant other, our child, our grandchild, our mother and our dad and we want to give them the world and love them with all we have, but, they do not and can not complete us. They are not 'who' we are. They can not make us happy. We can not complete them or make them happy. There is only one relationship that we can have that will complete us and that is with our creator. Yes it may seem more realistic to be in a relationship with someone that you can at least call, text or email but you can count on God to listen every time you talk to him. Yes he is spirit but he manifest himself to us in ways that we can see, smell, taste, touch and hold. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth and all that are in them. All life comes from him.
You can talk to God anytime and anywhere that you want to. You can sit in your favorite place, welcome him in, and talk to him like he is the best friend you ever had because he is. God is love. He knows everything about you and loves you just like you are and where you are. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that who soever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. God made a way for you to be completely forgiven and your sins completely forgotten so that you can start over fresh and new with a new life in Christ.
All you have to do is believe in him. That is the beauty of it. Salvation is a gift. It is free. Someone else paid the price for your sin so that you don't have to and teaches you a new way to live and love and in so doing you will find love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He died so that you don't have to. When your life in this world is over you will have eternal life in heaven. You can live life to its fullest in peace and happiness because you have a living and loving, eternal, heavenly father and nothing can separate you from him.
