Being a child of God is a fact not a figure of speech. How is that possible you might ask? God created us in His image. Genesis 1:27. We were separated from God due to Adam's sin. God never intended for us to be separated from him. He created us for him, to have a relationship with him. 'He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.' John 1:10â€-‬14 KJV What is so beautiful about our heavenly father, God, is that he comes to us where we are. He like any Father loves us as a child, a part of him, his family. We are the apple or his eye. Not a hair falls from our head that he doesn't know about. He cares about our very need, the desires of our heart. He really care about us. Some people separate themselves from God because they want him to use his power to supernaturally change things for them and he does sometimes but for the most part we have to live life and deal with nasty situations and people but God always gives us supernatural strength through him to deal with all of it and he causes things to fall into place for us. God turns even our mistakes into blessings. God wants to bless us and will every chance we give him. To have a relationship with the heavenly father you need only to believe in him and Jesus and that Jesus died for our sins. Just as the sin from Adam caused seperation, the obedience of Christ removed sin from us and gives us eternal life somewhere that is perfect and we'll have perfect bodies. Just one of many perks for being a child of God. Once you get to know him and how very much he loves you and wants to share your life with you, you'll realize that he'll spoil you and he wants to spoil you. He blesses me so much. He does give us the desires of our heart. Learn how to put him first. Our heavenly father, also known as Jehovah, Elohim and other names that the Hebrew have given him which describe his character, loves us unconditionally. God gave himself a name when he was talking to Moses about leading his people out of slavery and bondage into a land he promised them. That name is I Am. He said tell them that I Am sent you. And oh, he is. He is everything to us and everyone to us. He is perfect and loves us with a perfect love. He is our best friend. He is the one we can talk to about everything. He loves us. He gives us the Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us. And he helps us when give our worries and sorrow to him. I trust him. I completely and totally trust him. He is my I Am. He is my bright and shining star, my knight in shining armor on a white horse coming to my rescue, my confidant, my daddy, my husband, my mother, my sister and my brother. He is my everything and everyone to me. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He can and will be all people and all things to you too.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5â€-‬6 KJV God is our loving Father and it is possible for us to have a close relationship with him because he tore down the wall between us and him when Jesus Christ died on the cross for us and was risen from the dead. All we have to do is believe. Ask his Holy Spirit to come into your heart and your life. It doesn't matter what you don't know or understand. He will teach you and guide you. 'For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:' Romans 8:13â€-‬Â
