Jesus is the light of the world. All who look to him will find a loving and forgiving Savior. Not saying it is okay to sin, it is not. But just like crumbs can hide in the darkness in the back of a pantry, sin can hide in the folds of our heart without us knowing.
The sin that we're introduced to daily can become tolerated until we participate in it. That is sin. Sin that we were introduced to when we were growing up may seem normal to us but that is sin. Tendencies to react to certain situations or triggers with prejudice and malice is sin.
When we accept Jesus into our heart as our Lord and Savior the sin in our hearts and lives is revealed. Over time we are able to realize and deal with all of our sin even the sin that we didn't know was there. Praying often and remaining in God's word whether reading, listening to it or dwelling on it in our thoughts will help us to live without sin.
You can not think about sin without thinking about Jesus. Jesus took our sin upon himself when he died on the cross. He made it possible for us to be forgiven of our sin and to become sons and daughters of God, joint heirs with Christ and have eternal life. Does that mean that we can sin willingly, no. It means that we are covered by grace.
